The third and final stage, which is a 1.3 kilometre stretch of road from the Aylmerton intersection towards the Hume Highway, is estimated to be completed by July 15.
The final works include line markings and marker post installations.
There will be a reduced speed limit along the final stretch of road to allow the work to be completed.
The overall project involved resealing, stabilisation, road widening, guard rails and improved drainage measures.
"With 14 natural disasters declared for our Shire since 2019, heavy rainfall across the region has significantly impacted Wingecarribee Shire's 1200km road network," a press release about the opening said.
Stefanutti Construction was awarded the contract for the project in October, 2022 and the first two stages were opened in December, 2023.
