Bowral's First Grade season was shot to pieces on Saturday, April 13 when they travelled to Campbelltown and despite all their efforts, lost two rinks to one.

Things didn't get any better the next day playing against Blacktown at the Bowral Bowling Club as they lost by the same scoreline.
Second grade
Bowral were at home to undefeated competition leaders Taralga on the same day and put in a gallant effort, but lost all three rinks.
- Noel Fraser, Gail Fraser, Chris Forrester and Gordon Lewis lost to Taralga 19-18.
Bowral led 12-9 at the halfway mark and hoped to cause a upset.
Playing the better bowls, Bowral extended the lead to 17-11 after sixteen ends.
It was a ding dong match right to the finish and with one end to play, the scores were locked at 20-20.
Taralga skipper played the perfect draw shot and Taralga took the win by one shot.
- Graham Hunt, Arnold Lenczuk, Reta South and Bob Edwards lost to Taralga 19-16.
The bowls in this match was of a high level and scores were tied at 9-9 after 11 ends.
With three ends to play, Taralga was in a winning position leading 18-14 and at the finish, had a three shot win.
