Three Highlands wineries have been recognised in a unique award that focuses on wines made with grapes grown in cool climates.

The Australian Highlands Wine Show winners were revealed at Centennial Vineyards on December 1.
The show celebrates Australia's wines where grapes are grown 500 metres or more above sea level and covers wineries in the Highlands, Orange, Canberra, Mudgee, Hilltops, New England, Tumbarumba and the Adelaide Hills.
Seventy people gathered at the event to enjoy some tastings and nibbles and see which wines were awarded.

Centennial Vineyards won best sparkling wine in show for its NV Limited Blanc de Blancs, best Riesling for its Road Block Riesling and its 2022 Limited Release Bridge Creek Shiraz came out on top.
The best Sauvignon Blanc in show went to Artemis Wines and Bendooley Estate took out the Pinot Noir category for its 2019 wine.
Corang Estate in Nerriga won four awards on the night which included best wine in show, best white wine, the best Chardonnay and for its red wine blend.
Gundaroo's Tallagandra Hill Winery was awarded top spots for its Cabernet Sauvignon and in the best other Single White Varietal in Show category.
The best red in show and Other Single Red Varietal in Show went to Angullong Winery in Millthorpe.
Allegience Wines took out the best Pinot Gris/Grigio and Bungendore's Sapling Yard Winery won the best Rosé in show.
The event was organised by Business Southern Highlands, taking over from the Southern Highlands Food and Wine Association.
