A day out
Explore the manicured gardens full of flowers, take a picnic, or discover art at Retford Park. The garden is open from Thursday, August 10 to Sunday, August 13. Tickets for the gardens are $18.67 for adults, $16.59 for concession holders and children between five and 15, $51.95 for two adults and two children, and kids under five can attend for free. Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite. Tours of the James Fairfax AC's former residence take place on Saturday, August 12 and Sunday, August 13. Tickets for a tour and garden visit for adults are $37.39 each, $26.99 for children, and those under five can visit for free. They can also be purchased through Eventbrite.
Bowral Markets
Lots to see
Discover lots of stalls full of foods, clothing, artisan products and more at one of the region's oldest markets. See it all at the Bowral Bowling Club on Saturday, August 12 from 8am to 1pm. Entry is free. Dogs are welcome but must be on leads.
Music at 10: A Highlands Trio
Musical delights
The Highlands Music Collective is going to entertain people with works by a range of composers and artists. Watch John Martin on the piano, Myee Clohessy on the violin and William Howard on the cello. They will perform on Saturday, August 12 from 10am, at Bundanoon's Soldier's Memorial Hall. Tickets are $15 for adults and free for people under 18. Buy the through Trybooking.

Harper's Mansion

Come and explore the gardens at this historic mansion in Berrima. Attendees are advised to secure a ticket for a timed entry in advance. The property is open on Saturday, August 12 and Sunday, August 13, from 11am to 3pm. Tickets: $44.67 (two adults and two kids or three children and one adult), $16.59 (people over 16), $13.47 (concession holders and children between the ages of five and 15), free (kids under five). The beauty of Australian landscapes
Ted Lewis was inspired by the natural landscapes of Ophir where he lives, as well as Australian nature as a whole. See this exhibition until Monday, September 4 at The Milk Factory Gallery. The gallery is open daily from 10am to 4pm.
