Trees that have been identified as a risk in Burrawang to motorists are going to be removed and trimmed, which means there will be a change in traffic conditions along the Illawarra Highway.

The works will be undertaken from 9 am to 3pm weather permitting, from June 13 to 30.
There will be signage and traffic controls in place when travelling on the Highway between Church Street and McGraths Road, while it is all being conducted.
Single lane closures will be in place during work hours, and there will be a reduced speed limit of 40 kilometres per hour.
There will be traffic changes in both directions.

The trees are located on private properties, and landowners have been notified of the necessary works and access to properties has been agreed upon.

Motorists are advised to plan ahead when travelling through the area, and allow additional travel time.
Motorists are reminded to follow the directions of signs and traffic control, and allow up to five minutes of additional travel time.
