Facilities at the Moss Vale Tennis Club were upgraded recently including the addition of four new courts, allowing for pickleball, hot shots for kids and mini tennis for adults to be played.
The club is planning a big open day from 2pm on Saturday, July 1 where members of the public will be able to try out the sports for free.

Pickleball, which combines elements of tennis, badminton and ping pong, is a paddle sport played on a smaller court compared to tennis and hollow polymer balls.
"One of the most significant differences with tennis is that pickleball requires an underarm drop serve to start a point, which is a skill that is quite natural and easy to learn in comparison to tennis," director of tennis at Highlands Tennis Sergio Rojas Tessel said.
"You can pretty much rock up to a game, learn the rules for scoring and you are all set to have a wonderful social, fun and active time."
Highlands Tennis also has a focus on making a positive impact on little lives through tennis.
Learning tennis is a great way to develop skills like self-esteem, discipline, social skills, and fitness.
They also learn to respond to adversity, adapt to different situations and environments, and deal with stress, often compounded when scores are tight or if they're losing.
