Expressionist Abstract Painting Workshop with Peter Griffen
This weekend
Peter Griffen will guide people through different painting techniques and ways to approach different compositions. Learn from him on Saturday, June 3, from 10am to 4pm at the SHAC in Bowral. It is $140 per person which includes, lunch, tea, coffee and fruit. Attendees are asked to bring their own supplies, and a list will be emailed to people once they book. The Highland Singers: All You Need is Love
A weekend concert
The Highland Singers are ready to spread joy by performing love songs from the 1930s to the 2000s. Watch them all on Saturday, June 3 at 2pm, at the Mittagong Anglican Church on Station Street. Entry is $10 per person to raise funds for Can Assist and afternoon tea is included.

Honey tasting and apiary tour
An activity to leave you buzzing
Taste different honeys and suit up to take a tour of an apiary. Beekeeper Hamish Ta-mé will talk about why honeys taste different, and take people up-close to hives. The hives will not be opened during winter, but there is still lots to see. See it all at 180 Mittagong Road in Bowral, on Saturday, June 3 from 2pm to 4pm. It is $131.36 per person and people can book through Eventbrite. The event is also weather-dependent - if it is too cold, there will be limited to no activity.

Discover fresh produce, flowers, arts, and more at this market. Head to Bundanoon Public School on Sunday, June 4 from 8.30am to 2pm. Entry is free.
Southern Highlands Concert Band: Trains, Planes and Automobiles
An adrenaline-filled concert
The Southern Highland Concert Band will perform music inspired by vehicles that are real or imagined, such as The Polar Express. Watch the concert on Sunday, June 4 from 2pm at the Bowral Memorial Hall. Tickets are $25 for adults and five dollars for children and students. Book through Trybooking.

Coming up
John Martin and Susan Blake will perform a selection of cello and piano works by Felix Mendelssohn, Max Bruch, Franz Schubert, Manuel De Falla and Ann Carr-Boyd. Watch them at the Berrima Village Hall at 2.30pm on Sunday, June 4. Tickets are $35 per adult and $20 for students and concession holders. Borealis in the Vines
A technicolour winter wonderland
The colours and wonders of Europe's Northern Lights have come to life in the Highlands. See it all every Thursday to Sunday at Centennial Vineyards from 6pm, until June 30. There is also food and beverage stalls. Tickets start at $25 for adults, $20 for concession holders and $10 for children aged between two and 15. Children below two can enter for free. VIP packages, which include entry, a souvenir lanyard, access to a premier viewing area and a redeemable drink voucher, start at $55 each. They can be bought through Ticketek. A shuttle service will also be available throughout the event.

Dana Dion is passionate about Australia's vegetation, seas, bush, sounds and smells. This exhibition explores the beauty of the nation's landscape. See it at the Milk Factory Gallery until every Thursday to Monday between 10am to 4pm until July 3.
