In round one, Christie Williams defeated Elaine Jones 27-11 and Enid Brown had a win against Irene Gilbert 26-15.
Reta South also won 26-24 in a close match against Alice Moore.

In the second round, Margaret Lawless defeated Brown 27-16 and Lynne Boshier defeated Alison Pryce 25-21.
Gail Fraser played Sylvia Handley, winning the match 25-14 and defeating Boshier in the following match 25-16.
The final saw South and Fraser go head to head in a close match.
After 12 ends, the latter lead 13-7 but by the 16th end, the score was level 13 a piece.
Three ends later, it was 17-17 and then 20-20 on the 23rd end.
In the last couple of ends, South played some great draw shots to win the match 25-21.
