A community event
Bowral Memorial Hall Reopening
- June 3, Bowral Memorial Hall, 9.30am-12pm (15 minute sessions)
Residents can book a free 15 minute guided tour of the new Bowral Memorial Hall. People can book their tours through Eventbrite.
A driving workshop for learners and supervising drivers
Learner Driver Log Book Run
- June 4, Moss Vale civic centre theatrette, 10am-1pm
Learner drivers and their supervisors can take part in this workshop with Wingecarribee Shire Council's road safety officer and local highway patrol officers. Learners can gain driving experience, ask local police questions and learn more about the driver log book. Drivers and supervisors will drive a planned return route through Moss Vale, Robertson and Fitzroy Fall. Random breath tests will also be conducted. There will also be lunch. Drivers must have 20 hours of driving experience before completing the workshop. It is free and people can book a spot through Eventbrite.

Justice of the Peace volunteers are present to witness documents at the following locations:
- Springett's Arcade: every Wednesday from 10am to 1pm
- Moss Vale Council (in the Jellore Room): every Thursday from 10am to 1pm
- Mittagong Marketplace: every Saturday from 10am to 1pm
Soul Food Co Op and Soul Warmers Café
- Every Thursday, 37 Regent Street, Mittagong, 9.15am-12pm
This café and co op is ran by the community for anyone in need. There is a variety of discounted produce, bread, non-perishables, frozen food and meals. Free coffee is also served. Learn more about the initiative via Soul Warmers Café and CO-OP on Facebook.
Crop Swap Robertson
- Every Saturday, CTC Robertson, 9-10.30am
Exchange crops, plants and magazines at this weekly meet-up. People do not have to come with crops to take anything from the table. No money is exchanged. All are welcome.

Southern Highlands Evening CWA Meeting
- June 1, CWA Room in Winifred West Park, 6.30-8.30pm
The Southern Highlands Evening branch (SHE) of the CWA is full passionate group of women, who are determined to make a difference. It formed in 2011 for women who prefer to meet in the evening. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month. The branch represents a variety of ages, interests and skills, with something for everyone. Baby Rhyme-time
- Every Wednesday during the school term, Bowral Central Library, 10.30-11.15am
People with babies and toddlers up to the age of two years old can sing songs and listen to stories in the Henrietta Rose Room. It is free and people do not have to book a spot. For more information, call 1300 266 235.
Playing Rummikub
- Every Tuesday and Thursday, Mittagong Community Centre, 10am
Make friends and play Rummikub. People must be members of Mittagong Seniors to participate, which is an annual fee of $10 and a weekly attendance fee of five dollars to cover things such as morning tea. Qigong classes
- Every Tuesday, Mittagong Community Centre, 1-2pm
Seniors can take part in Qigong classes, with gentle exercises to help people increase their energy and reduce stress. People must be members of Mittagong Seniors to participate, which is an annual fee of $10 and a weekly attendance fee of five dollars to cover things such as morning tea. Yerrinbool crafts
- Every Friday, Yerrinbool Community Hall on Everest Street, 11am-2pm
People are invited to bring their crafts to this weekly meet-up and share knowledge with others. It does not matter if it is cardmaking, upholstery, knitting, crocheting, or any other type of craft.
Singing, music and dancing
Sing Australia Southern Highlands (SASH) choir
- Every Monday, Bowral Uniting Church Hall, 6-8pm
People with a passion for singing can join this group. They do not have to audition, nor have to have a particular vocal range, but can come along for fun performances. They can even just come along and observe for the first time, and then decide if they would like to join. The choir performs in the Highlands, nationally and overseas. Line Dancing

Come and make friends and learn line dancing in Mittagong. International Folk Dancing group
- Every Thursday, Bowral Presbyterian Hall, 10.30-11.30am

Prancing for Parkinson's
- Every Thursday, Bowral Baptist Church, 1.30-3pm
People diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease can dance and improve their movements on a weekly basis. They are lead by occupational therapist and dance teacher Margaret Connor. Classes are one hour, followed by a 30 minute debrief with a cuppa. They cost $10 per person with Parkinson's, and friends, family members and carers can participate for free.
