The bridge which crosses over Mittagong Creek, was meant to open on May 24 at 9am.
The upgrades follow upgrade works completed on Station Street earlier this year.
Wingecarribee Shire Council called on civil engineering company Brefni to manage the demolition of the aging timber bridge, establish a coffer dam, construct new concrete structure and improve the existing road approach.

An opening date has not been confirmed, but a spokesperson said it would be as soon as possible.
Another Brefni spokesperson said when the initial date was announced, that opening of would reduce travel times for residents.
The works form a part of a multi-million dollar program to fix country bridges, which was joint funded by the council and NSW Government.
