Guests are welcome to pop in between 9am and noon, or you can book in for a guided tour to see the transformation over the last two years of refurbishment.
Bowral Memorial Hall had modest beginnings as a 10 foot by 16 foot weatherboard school of arts building when it was built in 1880.
Now it stands as the Southern Highlands' premier multi-purpose cultural and events centre.
When it was rebuilt in 1939, the hall was described as "promising to be an ornament to the town of Bowral" and great care has been taken to preserve the building's considerable heritage charm, while delivering a modern space for the community.
A total investment of $8million was through a combination of council and Australian Government funding.
Through Building Better Regions Fund specialist heritage consultants were involved in the planning alongside NBRS Architecture and Richard Steward Theatre and Production.
Council said guests can expect to be awed by the specially engineered timber interior and concert shell. It has been purpose-designed to elevate the acoustics.
Piano tuner Ron Craig who has previously served at the Sydney Opera House said he was impressed by the design.
"Upon first impressions I am very impressed with the Yamaha CFIII concert grand piano and acoustics in the concert hall," Mr Craig said.
Council's manager project delivery Ned Tripkovic said: "Community groups will enjoy a greatly enhanced rehearsal and performance space".
"The modifications we've made are designed to broaden the venue's use and appeal for touring ensemble and music festivals, inviting a wide range of cultural experiences for our shire."
Seating for 120 can be rolled-out or retracted with the push of a button, making the available floorspace easily adaptable for a variety of formats and purposes, from expos to weddings and private functions.
Council said it has implemented a balanced fee structure to make the space accessible for its varied uses, including affordability for community groups, while also generating enough revenue to maintain it to a high standard through commercial and event hire rates.
Members of the community are being invited to preview the new Bowral Memorial Hall on June 3 from 9am to noon.
