When Gumnut Patisserie was named the best patisserie in Australia, Tracy Nickl said it was thanks to the team behind the tasty treats.

The patisserie, which has stores in Mittagong, Bowral and Berrima, was recognised in the Australian Small Business Champion Awards.
A team of 18 went to The Star in Sydney for the annual award on April 29, which is known as the Oscars for small businesses.
The head pastry chef said the Gumnut Patisserie table was "probably the loudest" cheering for other businesses, and especially when they were given a trophy.
"We're very proud," he said.

When it came to the speech, Mr Nickl wanted to celebrate his team's hard work and dedication.
It was not just the current team he was thankful to, but people who have worked at the patisserie in different capacities in the past.
"They're the ones that drive the ship," he said.
"To me, they're family."
Customer were also "extended family" for Mr Nickl and his wife Vicki, and many have visited the stores since to congratulate them.
When the business posted about the success on Facebook, more than 1000 people have liked the post, and more than 770 have congratulated them.
"It's incredibly rewarding," he said.
The accolade follows the patisserie's success in the Canberra Baking Show, where staff were awarded 15 first, second and third place ribbons.
Mrs Oldbucks Pantry also took home a small business Oscar, and was named the country's best specialised retail business.
Sixteen small businesses across the region were finalists in different categories.
