2023 marks the 108th anniversary of Anzac Day, where troops from Australian and New Zealand formed part of the allied expedition to capture the peninsula of Gallipoli.

April 25 was officially recognised as Anzac Day in 1916.
Returned and services league sub-branches are holding services and wreath laying events across the region.
Check out the list of events below.
Bowral
People taking part in the morning parade should meet near Westpac Bank on Bong Bong Street from 5.30am. The march will begin at 5.40am, led by Sapper Hamish Burchell and Oscar Arnold on the bag pipes. The dawn service will then commence at 6am, at the The Bowral and District War Memorial.
The second parade will begin from 10am from the Coles car park, departing at 10.35am. It will go down Boowley Street, turning right at the Bong Bong Street lights and then go down to the war memorial, where the service will begin at about 11am. There will be limited seating on the footpath on Bong Bong, and Merrigang Street. Entry to the park is restricted to those in the parade.
Bundanoon
The dawn service will commence at 6am, and there will be another service at 10.30am. Both will be held on Erith Street by the Bundanoon RSL sub-Branch.
Berrima
The Berrima Residents' Association is holding two services. The dawn service will be held at 5.45am and the other is due to take place at 10.30am respectively.
Both will be held in front of the War Memorial on Market Place. Participants will assemble in front of the War Memorial and will depart from that location without marching.
Burrawang
There will be a flag raising ceremony at 10am at the Burrawang School of Arts cenotaph. The main ceremony will take place in Robertson at 11am.
Colo Vale
It will take place at 8am at the Colo Vale War Memorial on Railway Parade.
Exeter
A service will be held at the Exeter Village War Memorial from 9am.
Hill Top
A service will take place from 6am at the Hill Top War Memorial from 6am.
Mittagong
Two services will be held in Mittagong. The first is from the clock tower, where people can assemble from 5am in Church Lane, march from 5.15am, before the dawn service starts at 5.30am.
People can gather from 10.20am in Albion Street, and march to the tower at 10.35am before the service begins at 10.45am.
There will be seating at the memorial for veterans and their partners who are unable to march. Seating will also be available for members from the women's auxiliary. No cars will be taking part in this year's marches.
Moss Vale
People can gather at the Moss Vale Services Club from 10.40am to march, and the service will be gin at 11am. People taking part in the march are being asked to gather in the car park behind the tennis courts from 10.30am.
Robertson
The service will begin at 11am at the Robertson School of Arts.
Sutton Forest
People can gather for the service at 8am, at the Sutton Forest National Service and Reserve Forces Memorial.
