The event will take place on April 8, where people can meet at the entrance to the Gibbergunyah Reserve on Boronia Street, in Bowral from 1pm.
A guide will lead attendees and there will be a bus for people unable to make the walk.
"Started by the late Arthur Beasley in 2002 in conjunction with the late Aunty Val Mulcahy, the event was created to acknowledge and celebrate the Gundungurra peoples who are the traditional owners of this area," said Woonjeegaribay Conciliation Group Inc convenor Kim Leevers.
"This year, the celebration will continue that tradition with a gentle bush walk into the Gibbergunyah Reserve from the Boronia Street Car Park to nin garang thurree currobung (the place between the rocks), where a smoking ceremony and welcome to country will be given by Aunty Trish Levett."
Attendees will also listen to a didgeridoo, take part in discussions, dance and enjoy afternoon tea.
Murri poet and activist Burraga Gutya, also known as Ken Canning, will also read poetry on the day.
The mirror flashing, which acknowledges Gundungurra lands from the Highlands to the Blue Mountains, will take place at about 3pm, weather permitting.
The tradition has been a popular way to see the flash more than 80 kilometres away.
Co-convenor of the group Rachel Russell said it was crucial to not only acknowledge the past, but look at what local First Nations people need right now.
"The priorities being simply food and housing," she said.
"With a growing First Nations population in this area the lack of designated housing, especially for women and children; and the lack of planning for the provision of appropriate and affordable housing, this is a an ongoing problem."
Attendees are invited to bring a mug, drink and food to share for afternoon tea.
