Mr Smith described the electorate as "successful and thriving".
"The investment in the community through state-of-the-art firefighting trucks, better traffic connections, sports facilities, schools, bridges, footpaths and shared pathways, community cultural and civic precincts and state-of-the-art hospital facilities will set the community up for future growth," he said.
"I want to thank everyone who wrote or called into my office with feedback and notification of critical issues in the electorate."
Mr Smith was proud of the "exciting projects" that are underway.
"Including the Old South Road renewal project; stage two of the Bowral District Hospital; the Dudley Chesham multi-use community facility; the Wollondilly community cultural and civic precinct; the Thirlmere Hall refurbishment; the Warragamba master plan and the Picton to Colo Vale loop line," he said.
Mr Smith said these projects were in addition to those already delivered, which included upgrades to the PCYC Southern Highlands; Picton Botanic Gardens play space; Picton Post Office; Wollondilly Library; Loseby Park tennis courts and Southern Highlands netball courts.
"I am optimistic about the future of Wollondilly," he said.
"We have a bright future ahead because of the quality of people that live in this electorate."
Mr Smith also listed tourism investment that would continue to flow to the Southern Highlands Botanic Garden; the Wollondilly Summer Fest; the Southern Highlands Food and Wine Festival; the Wing Festival; the Borealis Festival of Light and the Mid-Winter Festival at Ngununggula.
"To name a few, our sports facilities have had investments in Gordon Lewis Oval Appin; Tahmoor District Sporting Complex; Eridge Park club house; Wollondilly water play in the Oaks and Thirlmere; the Berrima District Pony Club; Hanaford Oval AFL ground; Douglas Park sportsground and the Boronia Park practice nets in Hill Top," he said.
Mr Smith wished the new Member for Wollondilly Independent Judith Hannan well and said he hoped similar outcomes could be achieved during the coming term.
