The night kicks off at 7.30pm, and people do not have to RSVP.
People can introduce themselves, chat, enjoy tea, coffee and light refreshments afterwards, and do not have to join right away.
BirdLife Southern Highlands also hosts birdwatching walks throughout the year in wetlands, heathlands, nature reserves, national parks and local forests.
The group has hosted events for school students as part of Wingecarribee Schools Environment Day, taken part in BirdLife Australia's annual Aussie Bird Count, counted birds regularly along the Mittagong Creek and conducted surveys as part of the National Snipe Project.
