The Moss Vale Golf Club pennants teams performed well over the weekend with all teams heading to the coast early Sunday to line up against Illawarra's best.
The A Pennant side halved their match against The Grange at Kiama while the C Pennants took out their match 3.5-1.5 against Wollongong on their home course.
The White Horse Cup teams had strong wins, with the section one team defeating Jamberoo 6-2 at Gerringong.
The section two team faced Links Shell Cove at Port Kembla and won 4.5-2.5.
The reigning Illawarra B Pennants team fell short of the mark at St Georges Basin, going down to Kiama 1.5-3.5.
It will be a tough ask for them to repeat their victory from last season, needing wins from the last two matches and other results to go their way.
In club competition, the Women's Tuesday Stableford was a washout.
However, the Medley Par Event was played in glorious weather and, on a strong scoring day, it was the charismatic and ebullient Peter Tancred who took the day's honours with a superb plus six round.
The Medley Stableford had a field of 123 golfers vying for the honours and it was Ross Wood who measured up best to the task by carding 41 points.
It's only two weeks to the $20,000 Moss Vale Women's Classic Pro-Am on Tuesday, March 7.
The event gives amateurs the chance to play with touring professionals and enjoy their company after the round over a buffet lunch.
Tickets are still available from the pro-shop.
