"We had a mufi day so that students could bring in donations to help those in Turkiye that are suffering from the big earthquake," Millie said.
The students hope their money will help ease some of the suffering being experienced by families in Turkiye and Syria.
"There's lots of suffering; families that must be really sad," Harry said.
"They need shelter and lots of buildings have fallen."
According to Harry, the earthquakes are responsible for $US84 billion in damage.
"It's destroyed so much," Harry said.
"I would hope our money goes to everyone and not [something] specific because they need shelter and they need food and water, because they need that to live."
Harry and Millie said they were very concerned that people would be homeless during the winter months.
"I couldn't imagine them on the streets, that would be awful," Millie said.
The children said it was important that their generation be proactive and take steps to help people in need.
"I think it's good to know and then maybe when they're older they can help show others how to do things to help the world be more together," Millie said.
"I think it shows other people that kids our age can encourage other kids to do stuff; don't just sit there and watch things happen, do something. Take action."
The children said they hoped Mary MacKillop's quote would motivate other kids around the world.
"I'm hoping that in the future I can go around countries helping those in need," Millie said.
"I couldn't imagine being there in that situation, it's just horrible."
