The 2022 Illawarra B Pennant Champions from the Moss Vale Golf Club were recognized for their outstanding achievement at the annual Berrima District Sports Awards, taking out the award for Best Senior Sports Team.

The gala dinner saw a packed auditorium of the district's junior and adult sports stars gather to receive awards and enjoy a delicious buffet meal.

Club competition golf continued on the course which is now presenting superbly ahead of the LPGA Women's Pro-Am.
Last Tuesday's Women's stableford was taken out by Jeanette Curley with 37 points from Sylvia Sylvester with 36.
Jeanette often plays with her talented husband Paul and her recent form is testimony to her effort to get on the course and improve her game.
Wednesday hosted a mixed stableford in conjunction with a four ball best ball multiplier.
Rick Beers fired an excellent round amassing 40 points on his way to defeating Graeme Millar, whose 39 points were enough to beat Robert Day on a countback.
The multiplier saw a return to form of Masters Pennant s gun Derek Leaper, who, teaming up with James Taylor, swept away the field with 77 points, six points clear of Rick Beers and Ash Douglas.
A strong field of 141 golfers competed in Saturdays Mixed Stableford event and it was the aptly named big hitting Nathan Powers who took the honours with 41 points from Pamela Kull on 40.
Dave Tyler, who rarely plays a bad round, handed in the best gross card of the day with 72.
Sitting at one under with 3 holes to play, carded bogies on 16 and 17 in a round that included 4 birdies.
