The two story house near the corner of Kings Road and Church Road was destroyed.
Some 20 personnel from from Moss Vale, Bowral and Mittagong crews responded. One crew remains on scene.
Police and ambulance also attended but all occupants of the house were accounted for and were uninjured.
A Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) or drone was deployed, providing fire crews with an aerial view of the fire's hot spots, allowing them to assess the extent of damage.
A NSW Police spokesperson said the fire was not being treated as suspicious.
Firefighters are trying to confirm what started the fire but are examining lamps used to heat a Bearded Dragon lizard terrarium as a possible cause.
