The trucks were judged by representatives from the Police, Red Cross and Community Transport.
Mick Hreszczuk, FRNSW RS2 Duty Commander, coordinated tjhe Public Choice vote.
Unfortunately, Bundanoon FRNSW and RFS weren't able to attend this year.
Moss Vale FRNSW was voted as the winner by the judges.
Their fire safety message banners were painted with the help of students from Miss Vale Public School.
"Do not be a silly elf, charge your phone up on the shelf".
During the painting of the banners, students engaged in conversation about the risk of fire when charging phones and devises in bed and on other soft surfaces.
The public vote was a close call, however Mittagong's reindeer decorated truck and giant baubles saw them beat Moss Vale by one vote.
While the call to open the event to public was only made late the afternoon before, a good size crowd attended.
Kids enjoyed checking out the fire trucks and saying hello to Santa.
Following the winners announcement, winners were presented with a box of chocolates, then decortarec fire trucks (and Santa) paraded through the main streets of Bowral, Mittagong and Moss Vale spreading Christmas cheer.
Organisers have promised bigger and better competition next year.
