Singalong

Understanding Breath with Mim Beim
- November 28, Unit 6-7 'The Village'63-69 Kirkham Road, Bowral, 1.30-2.30pm
Naturopath and breath work instructor Mim Beim will guide attendees through breathing, and its benefits for one's physical and mental health. Attendees should bring a water bottle. It is free and you can book via Humantix. It is being provided by The Stress and Trauma Clinic.

Two certified Justice of the Peace volunteers are present to witness documents weekly at the following locations:
- Springett's Arcade, Bowral: every Wednesday from 10am to 1pm.
- Moss Vale IGA: every Thursday from 10am to 1pm.
- Mittagong Market Place: every Saturday from 10am to 1pm.
Final Southern Highlands Evening CWA meeting
- December 1, Mittagong CWA room in Winifred West Park, 6.30pm
Learn more about different charities and projects the Southern Highlands Evening (SHE) branch is involved in at this meeting. This year, branches have been celebrating 100 years of service in NSW. The branch will resume on January 2, 2023.
Southern Highlands Domestic Violence Forum presents: Awareness Walk
- December 1, Bradman Oval, 7.30-8.30am
Attendees are invited to wear orange to walk against domestic violence, weather permitting. Breakfast and coffee will be available on the day.
Scottish dancing
- Every Thursday, Bowral Presbyterian Hall, 10.30-11.30am
Southern Highlands Scottish country dancing takes place weekly. New dancers are welcome. Residents can call Margaret on 0466166 866 for more information.
Creating and Thriving' Art Exhibition Launch
- December 2, council's civic centre, 2-3.30pm
Come along to the launch of the Creating and Thriving exhibition, a day prior to the International Day of People with Disability. The exhibition celebrates artists and creators with disabilities in the Highlands. Attendees can ask artists what inclusion means for them in a panel discussion. The event is free and people can register via Eventbrite. Afternoon tea will be provided. People can see the exhibition until January 13 weekdays, from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
Festival of Lights opening
- December 2, Corbett Gardens, 7pm
The entertainment is lined up for the opening of the Festival of Lights. Hear performances from the Bundanoon and Ingleburn Pipe Bands, singer and songwriter Duncan Reay and the local band Prefab Hearts. The festival will run until December 31.
Southern Highlands Evening CWA Disaster Relief Stall
- December 3, Corbett Plaza, 9am-2pm
The Southern Highlands Evening CWA branch is holding a stall to support its sister branch in Forbes, due to the flood devastations. The branch is excited to extend its support. The ladies have made relishes, jams, cakes, scones and slices.
Free Christmas Craft Workshop at the Reviva Centre Moss Vale
- December 3, Reviva at the Resource Recovery Centre, 9.30-11am
Kids can get creative and make decorations out of pre-loved and upcycled items. The event is free and people can register via Eventbrite.
Protecting Yourself from Burnout
- December 6, Mittagong RSL, 10am-12pm
This workshop will help people who feel they are at their limits, and the early warning signs and tips on managing burnout. Held by The Stress and Trauma Clinic, it will define burnout, differences between burnout and other stresses, management strategies and predictors of burnout. It is free and people can register via Humantix.
Trauma Informed Practice for Professionals
- December 6, Mittagong RSL, 5.30-7.30pm
This workshop is for professionals who have come into contact with trauma in the workplace. It covers the impacts of trauma, defining stress, crisis and trauma, managing strategies to look after oneself, and ways to incorporate trauma-informed principles in the workplace. The event is free and people can reserve a spot via Humantix.
Working with Adversity and Trauma
- December 6, Mittagong RSL, 1-3pm
This training session is for people who come into contact with other people who have experienced adversity and trauma. It looks at the signs of trauma, the impacts of being exposed to others' experiences and ways to manage these symptoms. People can register via Humantix for the free event.
Southern Highlands Evening VIEW Club Christmas dinner
- December 12, Mittagong RSL, 6.30pm for a 7pm start
The Southern Highlands Evening Club is raising funds for The Smith Family with this celebratory dinner. There will be a Christmas raffle, full of gifts such as hampers, gift cards, and a battery-operated garden pruner. Guests are invited to bring a kris kringle gift to a value of $10. Entertainment will be provided by Teresa Bubear accompanied on the keyboard by Marianna Mitchell. Prizes will also be given out for the best Christmas hat and best-decorated table. A cheese and fruit platter will be served on arrival. The event is $40 per person and women can call Katch on 0437590819 to make a booking and get more information.
