Moss Vale's answer to Ralph Lauren, golfing apparel start-up entrepreneur Gavin Wise, took his talent to the course in Wednesday's Stableford event with a victory in A-grade from Dave Tyler, who bounced back from a surprisingly mediocre effort in the first round of the club championships.

Simon Callaghan brushed aside the opposition in B-grade carding 37 points from Robert Ramsay on 34.

After establishing a big lead in the first round of the club championships, gifted golfing thoroughbred Brendon Dodds again outperformed his A-grade challengers in the second round with another quality showing to strengthen his grip on the gross score trophy.
Ian Wheeler dealt his B-grade rivals a substantial blow in securing his second round victory.
Zac Lohman found some spark in his game to continue his quest for the C-grade honours.
Overall, scoring was well below the usual competition standard and it may be that the pressure of playing for the treasured annual honours is showing.
A-grade nett results saw young gun Matt Stedman fire a 69 to hold off the multi-talented Peter Hiscock on a countback.
In a smooth performance, Chris Soderborg polished off his B-grade rivals carding 66 with Matthew Burke second with 69.
A fully-charged Zac Lohman won the C-grade nett scoring with his 68, enough to edge out Leslie Kelly on a countback.
In the women's stroke event, it was another podium appearance for Sylvia Sylvester, who with a fine nett 72 took the prize from Jane Elder.
