Steve Cassar took part in the Clay Target State Titles in Wagga Wagga on October 1-2 and came away with top three finishes.
He placed third in the C Grade category of the Champion of Champions, third in the C Grade handicap and second in the C grade Single Barrel discipline.

Although Cassar was pleased with the results, he said he wasn't surprised with how well he did due to his previous results at the same venue.
"Whenever I go to Wagga Wagga to shoot, I always manage to do reasonably well and manage to pick up a bit of prize money here and there," Cassar said.
"I think the way the club is laid out really suits me.
"I did as well as I thought I would do, taking into consideration the weather, visibility of the targets."
Cassar, who got into the sport of clay target through his father, said it was easier for him to shoot at Wagga Wagga compared to Berrima.
"It's a lot harder to shoot at Berrima because of the background and the elevation of the venue," he said.
The next event at the Berrima Clay Target Club will be the DTL competition held on the first Saturday of each month.
