Wingecarribee Shire Council and the Wingecarribee Vocal Muster are set to spread some Christmas cheer with the launch of a virtual Community Christmas Concert on Friday December 18 2020.

Wingecarribee Shire Mayor Duncan Gair said the virtual performance had been produced in lieu of this year's traditional community carols.
"COVID-19 has robbed us of many things this year but we're determined it won't spoil the festive season," he said.
"It was with this attitude that Council approached the Vocal Muster to produce a virtual Christmas concert so that everyone could enjoy their favourite carols in the comfort of their own homes."
A link to the virtual Community Christmas Concert will be available at www.wsc.nsw.gov.au/events from 7pm on Friday 18 December.
Cr Gair said that once uploaded, residents could view, enjoy and join in the performance whenever they wished.
"On behalf of council I thank all the students of the Vocal Muster for generously donating their time and sharing their incredible talents with the shire," he said.
The Wingecarribee Vocal Muster is a not-for profit organisation assisting secondary school music students across the Wingecarribee, Wollondilly and Goulburn Mulwaree Shires.

The launch of the virtual Community Christmas Concert follows the lighting of two giant Christmas trees in Bowral's Corbett Plaza and at the Mittagong Welcome Centre earlier in the month.
An electronic light display also operates every night within Corbett Plaza from 7pm to 11pm.
Cr said the Christmas tree and light show added a magical touch to the centre of town.
"I encourage everyone to drop by and see for themselves - but remember to stay COVID-safe," he said.
"If it looks busy come back another time or stop by and support a local business while visiting."
