The report analyses rental prices across regional Australia and the capital cities over the past year as well as five-year trends.
The September 2019 quarter study reveals the average price has increased from $420 in June 2014 to $505 in June 2019, an increase of 20.2 per cent.
However a year-on-year trend suggests there is some relief in the market.
In the past 12 months the average cost has decreased by one per cent, with some renters paying around $505 per week.
Nearby in the Wollondilly Shire, those in rental properties are paying around $460 a week.

Those living in Goulburn are more likely to pay even less, with an average price of $360 on a weekly basis.
