An Aquathlon is a swim, followed by a run - its similar to a triathlon with the exception that there is no bike leg.
The Highlands Aquathlon series will involve 10 events, starting on November 2 and running every fortnight through until March 8, 2019.
There are two race distances on offer, which will ensure everyone is able to try out an aquathlon, regardless of age or fitness level.
The main distance is 300m swim followed by a 3km run.
The shorter event, which is perfect for younger athletes or those not confident in the water, is a 100m swim followed by a 1km run.
