The unit was donated to the hospital by the Humpty Dumpty Foundation.
The money was raised through the 2017 Great Humpty Ball, held earlier this month in Sydney.
On the evening, more than $900,000 was raised and from the event’s fundraising, 88 pieces of essential medical equipment will be donated to many of the 359 children’s hospitals and health services the charity supports nationally.
The Panda Neonatal Resuscitaire Unit is vital for providing infants with a purpose built examination bed that includes a warmer as well as special monitoring devices.
It can be stocked with other smaller equipment and provides oxygen needed for resuscitation as well as delivering and treating critically ill babies.
