These were the key take aways from the latest Day on the Green event on April 14.
The afternoon kicked off with sisters Vika and Linda who have been entertaining audiences across the country for several decades. They came to prominence in 1988 while singing backing vocals in Joe Camilleri's band The Black Sorrows.
They have also provided back up vocals for the likes of Hunters and Collectors, Ross Wilson and John Farnham, to name a few.
But at Centennial Vineyards they were leading the way as they kicked off the afternoon's entertainment as a duo and - wow. They set the scene for an entertainment offering I was so glad to have experienced.
Next was Mark Seymour and the Undertows who treated the crowd to a selections of hits spanning more than three decades from his time with both the Hunters and Collectors and the Undertows, including the classic Holy Grail.
The afternoon continued to be a crowd pleaser when Boy and Bear stepped onto the stage.
The group lulled the audience with its impressive repertoire including the Southern Sun and Old Town Blues.
And of course the classic hits kept coming as Chris Isaak stepped onto the stage... and even into the crowd.
Engaging, amazing voice, great personality and entertainment value - he had it all. Wicked Games, Somebody's Crying, Baby did a Bad Bad Thing - just to name a few -had the crowd enthralled and impressed.
I walked away from this concert realising exactly why I love A Day on the Green so much, and just how lucky we are to have these events on our doorstep in the Southern Highlands.
The great news is that the next DOTG at Centennial Vineyards is just around the corner on April 28.
Six-time Grammy winner James Taylor is heading to Bowral as the headline act.
Also on the bill for the Bowral show are Ella Hooper and Josh Pyke.
