She was one of many guests at the garden party in Milton Park on April 23, which capped off a week of celebrations in Bowral, for the launch of season three.
A handful of lucky fans had a chance interaction with Nicola Coughlan, who plays Penelope Featherington and the town's gossip writer Lady Whisteldown.
The actress was coming out of a private room down a set of stairs where Bain was standing, when she saw a baby and walked over to the crowd to say hello, before getting into a car.
"I was so excited," Bain said.
"[She was] so friendly, a very nice girl."
The Bridgerton star spoke to everyone and asked for Bain's phone to take a group selfie, she said.
She was not the only one who had the chance to see Coughlan up close - she signed people's Bridgerton books and garden party maps, and took group selfies.
Luke Newton, who plays Colin Bridgerton in the series, was also at the party, and the pair have been spotted around Bowral.
One video on Netflix's Australia and New Zealand Instagram page showed one lucky fan getting a hug from Coughlan on April 22, and getting her book signed.
"Best experience of my life," she said tearily.
They also surprised fans at a private function in the Highlands, and attended the season three launch and screening on April 19.
Newton and Coughlan, whose relationship will be the main focus of the season, have also been to Redford Park, The Press Shop, Dirty Janes and Milton Park.
When asked by the Southern Highland News what she thought of Bowral, the actress said the town was "gorgeous".
"It's unbelievable, it's just like from a story book," she said, adding that Penelope and Colin could fall in love there.
