Autumn open gardens and plant fair

The Southern Highlands Botanic Gardens is hosting an open garden and plant fair this week. There will be 20 stalls at the plant fair, which will run on Saturday, April 27 and Sunday, April 28. The open gardens are at the Oldbury Farm Estate in Sutton Forest. There are several neighbouring properties that have been brought together. Each property has unique features and gardens. Visit the estate between Friday, April 26 and Sunday, April 28. It is between $62 and $65 to see the estate and enter the plant fair, and $90 for a guided tour in Sutton Forest and to attend the plant fair. Bowral Blacks versus Wollongong Uni

The Bowral Blacks will have its first home game of the year at Eridge Park against the University of Wollongong. The second grade game (1.30pm) and first grade (3.15pm) will take place on Saturday, April 27.

Mittagong Junior Disco

Kids up to the age of 14 can strap on their dancing shoes and get groovy with their friends. Gift vouchers can also be won on the night. They can enjoy it on Saturday, April 27 from 4pm to 6pm, at the Mittagong RSL. Entry is $5 dollars per child, with funds going back to children in the community. James Taylor will be joined by Ella Hooper and Josh Pyke at the Centennial Vineyards. Hear them all live on Sunday, April 28. The gates open at 1.30pm. Ella Hooper will perform first (3.15pm), followed by Josh Pyke (4.30pm) and James Taylor (5.45pm). Tickets are still on sale through Ticketmaster.
Creative Space annual art show
Diverse talents
This exhibition showcases the skills and talents of diverse makers who went to Creative Space Southern Highlands. A variety of pieces will be on display such as ceramics, paintings, mixed media and jewellery. See it every Thursday to Friday from 10am to 4pm, and Saturday from 9am to 1pm at CTC Robertson. Entry is free.

As part of the Australian Heritage Festival, people can visit three historic properties on Tuesday, April 30. The first visit will be at 10.30am just outside Exeter, with a morning tea at a 50-year-old upgraded house. The second home is in Sutton Forest. It is a regency-styled house with 18th and 19th century artworks. It will begin at 12.15pm. The final stop is at a property in Moss Vale from 2.30pm, in a Victorian townhouse. It is a guided self-driven tour, and the property owners will be onsite. Tickets: $65 for National Trust members, $75 for non-members and $70 for concession holders. Book through Eventbrite.

This exhibition features mixed media, ceramics, sculptures, fibre art and paintings by Robyn Kinsela, Birte Larsen, Ruthe Levine, Tracy Luff, Maricelle Olivier and Nettie Sumner. See it at the Sturt gallery from 10am to 5pm daily.
Red Cow Farm Open Garden
Lots to discover
Explore 20 gardens on 2.5 hectares of land, full of unique plants, lakes and flowers. The Red Cow Farm in Sutton Forest is open daily from 10am to 4pm. Adults can enter for $15, seniors for $10 and $5 for children aged four to 14, via cash or card. There are no public toilets on site, and no picnics and animals are allowed. There is parking in the adjacent laneway.
